My name used to be Sarah Armstrong, and now it's Sarah Highway since Don & I got married on May 7, 2022, but my friends call me Rah. I am lucky enough to call Traverse City and all of Northern Michigan my home. I got my start as a photographer in October of 2010 and over the years I have developed a style that is creative and unique! I became known in the northern Michigan community for "Project 231" which is a published book of 231 photos from the 231 area code of 231 DIFFERENT women. The final product features each woman in her own beautiful way. Project 231 launched my photography career into full force and now I'm fortunate enough to have a solid base of clients from all over Northern Michigan.



I've traveled near and far, but I've never been somewhere that feels like home the way that Northern Michigan does. I love all kinds of photo shoots including maternity, family, newborn, senior, business, live music, and boudoir portraits, but I especially love photographing engagement and wedding portraits for couples who are madly in love. When I'm not shooting or editing photos, you can find me camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, or going on adventures with my friends!
