Frankfort Wedding Photography | Meet The Martinez Family!

While editing Joe & Cate's wedding photos and reliving such a memorable day, I'm reminded once again of why I love my job so much. Our values as photographers have lead us to thoroughly get to know each couple before accepting the esteemed job of photographing their wedding. When we first got to know them, we asked Joe & Cate to describe their love in one word; they chose "electric" and to this day that's one of my favorite answers given to that question. Mostly because as we got to know them, we could see exactly what they meant. They light up when they see one another - before their wedding day AND after the first look! Passing that love and those values down to their daughter June is clearly a core value for this family which I really admire. We started the day at Harbor Lights Resort in Frankfort right on one of my favorite Michigan beaches for their first look. They were going to have the ceremony there as well, however the rain didn't seem to be letting up, so the ceremony was relocated to First Congregational Church in downtown Frankfort. Cate's mother, Mary, did all the florals for this wedding, and what a talent she has! The flower petal send off was so special and Cate's bouquet was stunning. After the ceremony, everyone hopped on The Magic Shuttle Bus that took them across the Betsie River over to The Cabbage Shed in Elberta where the reception would take place. The sun came out and warmed up the patio, and everyone was thoroughly enjoying the delicious food. We are so excited to be delivering this gallery! There's no better dream job for me than being a wedding photographer in Northern Michigan, and I feel like that because of people like Joe, Cate, June & their families.
