Grand Traverse Resort Family Photos | Private Beach Club | Traverse City, MI

If I've said it before I'll say it again - I love being a family photographer in Traverse City! There are endless opportunities to create portraits and memories that'll last a lifetime in a setting that brings everyone together. Also - I'm quite certain that we somehow get the BEST clients.

This family photo session came to fruition when Ryan reached out to us about booking a time slot while he and his husband were visiting Traverse City to celebrate his father's 60th birthday. The gift they got him was what I believe to be one of the nicest gifts you can give to somebody - a family photo session. It was a time of laughter and joy as we celebrated Grandpa's big birthday. We serenaded Grandpa with a good old round of "Happy Birthday", something I'm sure none of us will soon forget!

It took a little warming up for the youngest ones, but that's nothing out of the ordinary. We have lots of tricks for coaxing smiles out of our littlest clients. Without divulging all our techniques, let's just say that after working together to find the biggest stick on the beach and a few bubble blowing sessions, both kiddos were all smiles.
